Willie, C.V.T. – Veterinary Technician Manager

Education: Certified Veterinary Technician

Willie is our Veterinary Technician Manager. He received his Certified Veterinary Technician degree from the Veterinary Technology Program in Thomasville, Georgia. While he is an important asset to our hospital, we are proud to share Willie with the United States Armed Forces. Always spreading his smile to those around him, Willie works hard to set a good example for his sweet son, TJ. Willie is always willing to help and is a wonderful leader for our staff. When he is not at NFAH or on duty, Willie spends time lifting weights, playing football, and caring for his husky mix, Chopper.

Megan, C.V.A. – Hospital Services Manager

Education: Certified Veterinary Assistant
University of Phoenix
Bachelor of Science-Management – Minor in Psychology

Megan has been with NFAH since 2003 and is our Hospital Services Manager. Her duties include managing our inventory, vendor relations, and managing work flow throughout the hospital. Megan is married to a wonderful husband, and they have one adorable son and a sweet baby girl. In her spare time, Megan enjoys hanging out with friends, going to the beach and being outdoors. She two pups “Tripp” and “Girlie,” and three cats, “Frederick”, “Kevin” and “Cori”.



Brittney has been with our hospital since 2011 and is wonderful at individualizing patient care. Taking the time to get to know our clients and patients personally, Brittney is adept at identifying personality traits in each pet and using that knowledge to make them most comfortable. Her pets include one sweet orange kitty named “Clyde,” a treat-loving Lab Mix named “Bailey,” and her adopted Boykin Spaniel “Brodie Mae.”


Education: Associates Degree, Florida Firefighter Certificate, Nationally certified EMT

Michael is an experienced technician, who also works for the Tallahassee Fire Department. Michael loves getting to know our clients and working with animals. An avid FSU fan, Michael can usually be found on the water, fishing, or spending time with friends and family. He has one loving spaniel named “Winney Grace.”



Education: St. Petersburg College of Veterinary Technology

Kellie joined our technician team in 2014 and is a great leader for our technical staff. She loves caring for animals and enjoys the hands on experience she gains everyday at NFAH. In her spare time Kellie likes to spend time with her husband and her animals. She also enjoys reading or catching up on her favorite television shows. Kellie and her husband have a host of fur babies they care for. Along with chickens and roosters, they have several sweet pups and feline friends.



Education: Currently attending Florida A&M University

We are proud to have Karon as a member of our Veterinary Technician Team. Karon is on the path to become a veterinarian. While obtaining experience in the veterinary field, Karon is completing a masters degree in Toxicology to satisfy his love of the laboratory environment. We look forward to helping Karon build the skills and necessary knowledge for a successful career in veterinary medicine. Karon has two loving pit bull terriers, “Kane” and “Frenchy.”


Justin is an enthusiastic member of our team! Often found singing in the halls, or chatting with new people, Justin knows no strangers. With several years of experience, Justin is a great resource for new technicians in training. He enjoys cooking, playing video games, frisbee golf, and tennis. He has one lab/shepherd mix, “Odin”, a bob tailed cat, “Varamyr”, and one albino corn snake named “Dr. Walter Bishop.”


Whitney is part of our technical team at NFAH. She came to us with previous experience as a kennel manager at Disney World, and a Vet Assistant Diploma from the Florida Institute of Animal Arts. She enjoys gaining more knowledge and experience each day while continuing her animal care career, and advancing her skills. When Whitney isn’t at work she enjoys playing volleyball, working out, spending time at the beach, riding 4-wheelers, golfing, fishing, and really just being outdoors!


Education: B.S. Criminology, Florida State University

Eric joined our NFAH family as a kennel technician for a few years, before joining our Veterinary Technician Team. We are lucky to have the opportunity to utilize his calm demeanor and stress free attitude. Eric plans to return to FSU to receive a degree in Middle Eastern Studies, and master the Arabic language. His goals involve working for the government or private international conflict resolution company. Eric has accumulated a lot of animal care and behavior experience, beginning with his own boxer, “Scrappy.”


Education: Currently Attending Florida State University

Panos is a great member of our Vet Tech Team, and is always eager to learn! Panos is a student at FSU, hoping to eventually graduate with a Master’s in Bio Medical Engineering. He has a profound interest in science, and plans to one day pursue a career in prosthetics. When not studying, or helping us provide care for your furry family members, Panos can be found with his dog “Bono,” and his cat “Richard.”


Education: B.S. in Biology from San Francisco State University & A.S. in Exotic Animal Training and Management from America’s Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College

Nicole has a wealth of knowledge as a marine mammal trainer. Prior to joining our NFAH family, Nicole worked with dolphins and sea lions for the Navy Marine Mammal Program. While she may have spent years in the water, we are happy to have her on dry land helping us care for your pets. Nicole is a proud new homeowner in our great city and loves spending time outdoors. Animal medicine has been a longtime interest for Nicole, and she uses each day and experience to further her knowledge and abilities. She has one canine companion, a Rottweiler/Shepherd mix, “Orion.”


Cayla looks forward to building relationships with our clients everyday! She plans to complete a degree in Biology, and continue with a career in the field of science. She started out as part of our Kennel team and moved to Veterinary Tech to learn more about veterinary medicine. When not at NFAH caring for your fur babies, she can be found on the softball field, or spending time with her family and friends! She has two love bugs at home, “Jasper” and “Stella Rose.”


Emma has been an animal lover since she was a child! Emma plans to attend the Florida State University nursing program. She started at NFAH caring for your furry family members in our boarding facility, and has since become a valued member of our Veterinary Technician team. “Pickle” is her fiesty feline pet! She has two family dogs, “Dolly” and “Tilly.”


Education: Florida State University, Bachelor’s: Biochemistry, Minor: Chemistry

Kevin is an enthusiastic member of our NFAH Tech Team! An avid adventurer, Kevin enjoys action sports, cooking, and finding new hiking spots. Kevin served on the FSU cheer team for four years, and still enjoys physical fitness. He brings his excitement to animal care each and every day here, and loves being able to provide service to those animals in need. His lab mix “Roxanne,” and Boxer mix “Tigger” are his best fur-buddies!

Rebecca is wonderful asset as our laboratory technician. She loves all of the knowledge and experience every day in lab, with a seat right next to Dr. Simmons! Rebecca loves bright colors, vintage watches, and driving with her windows down (even in the Florida summers!). At home she has a pet lizard named “Don Quixote.”


Education: Currently attending Florida State University

Alexis is eager for the hands-on experience gained each day at NFAH. With hopes of attending veterinary school in the future, Alexis looks forward to making each visit a positive experience for our clients and patients. She is currently attending FSU, double majoring in Biology and Spanish with a minor in Chemistry. When she is not busy with school or your fur babies, she loves going to the beach, playing soccer, or spending time with her siblings (she is a triplet!). Her own fur family consists of two miniature dachshunds, “Tye Dye” and “Simba Roo.”


Certified Veterinary Technician, Hillsborough Community College

We are excited to have Betsy’s experience and enthusiasm on our vet tech team! A Certified Veterinary Technician, Betsy looks at your pets as her number one priority while here at NFAH. Betsy is outgoing, and can find a friend anywhere! When not caring for your fur babies, or her beautiful one-eyed Blue Heeler, “Katie,” she loves to fish, travel, and be with her family. 


Jody, C.V.A

Jody brings years of experience to our Vet Tech Team! Jody is originally from New Jersey, and our hospital is grateful to have Jody’s hardworking, dedicated, professional personality here caring for NFAH patients. A huge Chihuahua fan, Jody has always had a special touch for handling this tiny breed’s broad range of temperament. At home Jody has two dogs, “Eva,” and “Savannah.” She also has one big cat with a big name – “Hunta Monsta Fatman Chicken Poop!”



Currently Attending: Southern Regional Technical College – Veterinary Technology

Raven has had her heart set on veterinary medicine since she was a child. Her love of animals has driven her to attend the SRTC Veterinary Technology program, and we are thrilled to help her grow in hands-on experience here at NFAH. Raven believes in life-long learning, and loves to learn something new each day while helping her patients and educating our amazing clients. Her main goal is to help make a difference every day. When not hanging out with her own fur family, she loves researching vet-med topics, playing video games, and watching documentaries. She has her own cuddle-crew at home, consisting of a Sheltie named “Splinter,” Anatolian Shepherd/Pyreness mix named “Buffy,” a Holland Lop rabbit named “Knickers,” a DMH, “Luscia,” and two pot-bellied pigs, “Cherry” and “Candy!”



Education: Currently attending Florida State University

Logan grew up owning all kinds on animals in the Florida panhandle. He is currently pursuing a degree in Biology from FSU, and has plans to attend veterinary school upon completion. Logan has a special interest in exotic large cats. When not studying or assisting our doctors as a Veterinary Assistant, Logan can be found fishing, playing sports, or spending time with his feline friend, and American Shorthair “JoJo.”

Education: Currently Attending Florida State University

Austin is an eager helper on our hospital team! His daily goal is to help any animal that walks through the NFAH doors to the best of his ability. Always wanting to learn more, Austin plans to spend every  day learning the ins and outs of the veterinary world. While he prefers spending his free time outside hunting or spearfishing, Austin always makes time to root for his beloved Georgia Bulldogs and spend time with his family and friends. His own furry family members consist of two black labs, “Grace,” and “Jinx.”


Taylor grew up with a deep understanding of the importance of our environment and taking care of animals. Growing up in Colorado, Taylor developed appreciation and love for wildlife. Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Taylor hopes to one day attend veterinary school and develop a career as a wildlife veterinarian. Taylor loves meeting new people, and the hands-on experience gained each day at NFAH. At home, Taylor has a German Shepherd, “Stella,” and a Shar Pei-Husky Mix, “Bandit.”


Danielle has always wanted to work with animals. At home, her furry/scaly family consists of a Staffordshire Terrier, “Momo,” a Bearded Dragon, “Calci,” a Banana Ball Python, “Lemon Pepper,” a Pastel Ball Python, “Siri,” and a Leopard Gecko, “Purdy.” When not busy caring for them at home, Danielle enjoys video games, illustration, and socializing. Caring for your furry family members at NFAH is a dream-come-true for Danielle.
